Watson | Narrative Pilot

Synopsis

One year after Sherlock Holmes’s apparent death at the hands of his archenemy Moriarty in Reichenbach Falls, Dr. John Watson returns to his medical practice as a clinical geneticist. After receiving an unexpected donation from the estate of Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson opens the “Holmes Clinic” in Pittsburgh, PA to treat patients with strange and unidentifiable medical issues. Combining his crime-solving skills and medical intuition, Dr. Watson and his close-knit team of medical fellows tackle each case with the guiding principle that “when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains - however improbable, must be the truth.”

Premiering after the AFC Championship game and airing following Super Bowl LVIII, this modern take on the adventures of Sherlock Holmes carries its audience through mysteries both medical and malfeasant, as Dr. Watson faces his complex past, uncertain future, and the looming presence of arch nemesis Moriarty.

Watson is a CBS Studios production, and was created and written by Craig Sweeny. Sweeny serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Aaron Kaplan, Brian Morewitz, Morris Chestnut, Scott Graham, and pilot director Larry Teng.
